American–Israeli lawyer and activist Mark Zel welcomed the U.S. administration’s decision to lift sanctions against President Milorad Dodik, his family, and his associates — calling it a correction of the injustice committed by former U.S. President Joseph Biden.
“This is a huge development! President Donald Trump’s administration has corrected a great injustice committed by the Biden administration, laid the groundwork for the long-awaited constitutional reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and opened the path toward freedom, democracy, and stability in the Western Balkans,” Zel wrote on X.
He added that he was proud to have been part of “the incredible team that helped make this historic day possible,” noting that “there is still much work ahead.”
