Cvijanović with Macron: Foreign intervention mechanisms in BiH must be abolished

Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović met yesterday in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron, during his bilateral meeting with members of the BiH Presidency.

“During the meeting, I emphasized that Christian Schmidt, through his illegal and unconstitutional actions, has caused the greatest crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last 30 years. To overcome this crisis, it is necessary to abolish the mechanisms of foreign interventionism and return Bosnia and Herzegovina to its peoples and democratic institutions,” Cvijanović stated in an Instagram post.

She stressed the need for a balanced approach by all international actors toward BiH.

“There must be no constant appeasement of only one side or one of the three constituent peoples. I underlined that the greatest achievement of the Dayton Peace Agreement is peace itself, but also pointed out that the agreement has been undermined by destructive interventions that have eroded its very essence,” Cvijanović said.
