The Government of Republika Srpska today adopted its 34th report to the UN Security Council, which was sent by the Prime Minister, on behalf of Srpska as a signatory to all annexes forming the Dayton Peace Agreement, to the UN Secretary-General and member states of the Security Council.
The report states that “the democratic constitutional order established by the Dayton Peace Agreement has, unfortunately, been altered and undermined by unlawful dictatorial decrees of various international high representatives — most drastically by the current self-proclaimed one, Christian Schmidt.”
It reaffirms Republika Srpska’s firm commitment to the Dayton Peace Agreement and calls for its full implementation in accordance with the original text, the Government’s Public Relations Bureau announced.
Covering the period from April to October of this year, the report — like the previous ones — outlines Republika Srpska’s positions on key issues and challenges facing Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of clarifying its views to members of the UN Security Council and the international community.
The document highlights the legal baselessness of the trial against the President of Republika Srpska and of the related court rulings, as well as a series of procedures not founded on any law duly adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, as required by the Constitution, but instead on criminal provisions personally invented and imposed by Schmidt.
In conclusion, the report emphasizes that, approaching the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement, all those who care about the stability and success of Bosnia and Herzegovina must once again commit to the consistent application of its explicit provisions.
