Laura Loomer, a close associate of U.S. President Donald Trump and a highly influential figure in the MAGA movement, criticized the sanctions imposed on President Milorad Dodik, stressing that he is facing ruthless political attacks from what she described as a coalition of Muslims and globalists.
“In the latest example of a brazen attack on leaders similar to Trump around the world, President Milorad Dodik of Republika Srpska is enduring relentless political assaults by a coalition of Muslims and globalists,” Loomer wrote.
She noted that these attacks are happening while Dodik firmly stands as a loyal supporter of President Trump and a defender of Western values.
“Dodik planned to attend Trump’s inauguration in January 2025, but his entry into the U.S. was banned due to Biden’s vindictive sanctions. Dodik’s public statements clearly show that he supports President Trump and the MAGA agenda, and that he opposes further Islamization,” Loomer said.
She added that this has made Dodik the latest example of how what she called the “red-green alliance” is trying to destroy a world leader through Islamic expansionism.
Loomer recalled Dodik’s remarks from August 21, 2025, when he celebrated Trump’s return to power and highlighted shared threats:
“The Serb people are encouraged by the return of policies of common sense and peace initiatives under President Trump’s leadership. We stand with the Trump administration against mass migration and against the alliance of the Iranian regime with Sarajevo.”
She further quoted Dodik as saying that no one understands the situation better than President Trump, adding:
“When the radical left cannot win through democratic elections, it abuses the legal system to silence its opponents.”
Loomer emphasized that Dodik’s support for Trump dates back to September 16, 2024, when Dodik sent Trump a message:
“Mr. President, take care — we need you to win. America needs you, but so does the rest of the world.”
She pointed out that the Biden administration has been persistently targeting Dodik — a Christian leader — with repressive measures, accusing him of corruption that allegedly undermines the Dayton Peace Agreement and regional stability, freezing his assets and banning his entry into the United States, which she called a clear example of using power to silence Trump’s ally.
“Just weeks before Trump took office on January 20, 2025, the U.S. Treasury Department escalated pressure on January 16 by designating five individuals and one organization linked to Dodik for allegedly enriching themselves ‘at public expense’ while ‘undermining peace,’” Loomer stated.
She also reminded that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken imposed sanctions on Dodik back in 2022 as well.
Loomer highlighted remarks by former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, who himself faced what he calls politically motivated prosecution under the Obama and Biden administrations:
“Illegitimate leftist globalists are doing to President Dodik the same thing they did to President Trump,” he said, according to Loomer.
She concluded by noting that she continues to personally inform President Trump about the political persecution Dodik is facing in Republika Srpska and the pressures he is enduring.
