On the occasion of the International Day of Rural Women, the 7th Ethno and Gastro event “Podrašničko Saborovanje” was held in the village of Podrašnica near Mrkonjić Grad.
As part of the event’s competitive segment, “The House of Good Table”, local women competed in preparing the most delicious traditional fasting pita savijača (rolled pie).
“The goal of this event is to expand our activities and give stronger support to women in rural areas — to help each other socially and show that a good and fulfilling life can be built in the countryside. Women are the backbone of every family; they carry all burdens, and they know how to do everything — and, most importantly, they want to,” said Dara Milekić from the Humanitarian Association of Women Mrkonjić Grad.
