The Minister of Justice of Republika Srpska, Goran Selak, and the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH, Igor Kalabukhov, met today in Banja Luka to discuss strengthening cooperation between Republika Srpska and Russia in the field of justice and institutional exchange of knowledge and experience.
During the meeting, Selak and Kalabukhov emphasized that the relations between the Serb and Russian peoples are sincere and brotherly, founded on mutual respect, shared history, culture, and Orthodox values, the Ministry of Justice of Republika Srpska stated.
Minister Selak expressed gratitude to the Russian ambassador for his visit and support, stressing that Republika Srpska is committed to preserving stability, peace, and freedom.
He added that the Ministry of Justice of Republika Srpska will continue to develop concrete and substantive cooperation with Russian institutions, especially in the areas of education, legislation, and judicial experience exchange.
“It is our duty to preserve the friendships that stem from shared values and mutual respect. Republika Srpska has partners and friends around the world, but with the Russian Federation, we share genuine trust and mutual understanding,” Selak stated.
He underlined that Republika Srpska pursues a responsible policy based on national interests, cooperation, and the preservation of peace, which its citizens clearly recognize and support.
