BiH Central Election Commission annuls the will of the Serb people

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its 39th session held today, annulled the will of the Serb people by adopting a decision to revoke the mandate of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.

Although the vote was still ongoing, certain federal media outlets prematurely reported that the decision had been adopted unanimously—despite the fact that voting had not yet concluded.

As previously announced, a deadline for appeals will be provided.

Despite announcing the session three days in advance—perhaps the most significant since the CEC’s establishment—there was no live broadcast of the meeting, during which the mandate of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik was discussed.
