Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban once again addressed the verdict of the Court of BiH in the case against Milorad Dodik, stating that Hungary will not recognize the ruling.
In one of his speeches posted on the social media platform X, Orban said that EU officials want to remove Dodik from power.
“Hungary does not recognize the court verdict against President Milorad Dodik. Attempts by EU-appointed overseers to remove him for opposing their globalist agenda are unacceptable. He is the legitimate, democratically elected leader of Republika Srpska — we strongly oppose Brussels interfering in sovereign matters. Nothing should stand above the will of the people,” said Orban.
Similar statements were previously made by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó. In his reaction on X, Szijjártó emphasized that Dodik was democratically elected by the people.
He added that it is time to talk to the leaders of the Western Balkans.
“It’s time everyone understands that the point is not to talk about elected leaders in the Western Balkans, but to talk with them,” Szijjártó said earlier.
