President of South Ossetia, Alan Gagloyev, has invited the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, to participate in celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the republic’s declaration of independence, scheduled to take place from September 18 to 20, according to a statement from the Embassy of South Ossetia in Moscow.
The invitation was delivered by Zara Valieva, adviser at the South Ossetian Embassy, during a meeting in Moscow with Duško Perković, Head of the Republika Srpska Representative Office.
“The meeting focused on the participation of a delegation from Republika Srpska as an honorary guest at events commemorating 35 years since the declaration of the republic and the adoption of the Declaration of Sovereignty. Discussions also included participation in the upcoming International Economic Forum,” stated the press service of the South Ossetian Embassy.
The statement noted that the meeting was held in a friendly and cordial atmosphere.
In May, leaders of friendly states met in Moscow to discuss cooperation and presented plans for the signing of several agreements, including in the fields of education and science, according to the South Ossetian state news agency RES.
