Goganović thanks Greek attaché for respecting the Dayton Agreement

Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Aleksandar Goganović, expressed his gratitude to the Greek military attaché in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brigadier Athanasios Garelis, during today’s meeting for Greece’s consistent respect for the Dayton Agreement, which he described as the foundation of peace and stability in BiH.

Goganović also thanked Garelis for the dedicated engagement of the Greek Armed Forces in the EUFOR “Althea” mission, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense.

He extended special thanks for the opportunity given to members of the Armed Forces of BiH to attend Greek language courses at the Center for Professional Development in Banja Luka and to study at military schools in Greece.

Goganović emphasized the importance of educating young cadets from BiH, future officers, at military academies in Greece.

The two interlocutors agreed that the level of bilateral military cooperation between BiH and Greece is very high, but that there is room for further expansion and for even more effective implementation of joint activities.
