The persistent persecution of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik during the administrations of former U.S. Presidents Barack Obama and Joseph Biden was a continuation of the failed policy of former President Bill Clinton’s administration, stated Rod Blagojević, an American politician of Serb origin and former governor of Illinois.
In his op-ed for The Washington Times, Blagojević wrote that this continuation also reflects the ongoing persecution of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Blagojević emphasized that it would be in the best interest of the United States to abandon efforts aimed at appeasing Iran — a key feature of the aforementioned administrations — and instead pursue a new strategic partnership with the Serb people in the Balkans.
According to him, such a partnership would be based on Judeo-Christian values and shared interests, strengthening ties with Israel in the process.
“This new strategic partnership would make the world a safer place,” Blagojević concluded.
