Renowned Hollywood actor and Oscar winner Mel Gibson has arrived at the Hilandar Monastery on Mount Athos ahead of Vidovdan, one of the most significant Serb religious holidays, according to reports from Serbian media.
During his arrival on the Holy Mountain, Gibson met with the abbot of the Hilandar Monastery, Archimandrite Methodius.
The monastery itself also issued a statement on the occasion:
“Mel Gibson, the well-known actor, director, and producer, arrived today at the Holy Hilandar Monastery, where he will be staying for the next few days,” the announcement reads.
