Dodik: Meeting of European rabbis is welcome in Republika Srpska

It is unacceptable for Republika Srpska that the gathering of Jewish religious leaders from Europe is banned on the basis of nationality or religion, wrote President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik on his X account.

Dodik stated that the meeting of European rabbis is welcome in Republika Srpska.

“Sarajevo closed its doors to European rabbis, trying to cover that up by ramping up rhetoric against Serbs. Those who expelled rabbis simply because they couldn’t tolerate different views are now also bothered by every open Serb voice. That is their idea of a ‘European Bosnia and Herzegovina.’ They shut the door on the rabbis, and the truth, as of yesterday, is very simple: Sarajevo increasingly resembles what it tries to hide—that it is a Muslim city driven by hatred. A city that is hostile toward Jews and Israel. A city that long ago expelled both Israel and Republika Srpska,” Dodik stated.

He reminded the public of the anti-Israel protests held in Sarajevo, as well as the recent ban on showing footage of terrorist acts committed against innocent residents of Israeli kibbutzim and the massacre of young people attending a music festival.

“This is why we are surprised by the naivety of the organizers who chose Sarajevo for this year’s meeting of European rabbis. Sarajevo today is not fighting against ideas—it is fighting against identity. Željka Cvijanović bothers them because she represents Srpska, which refuses to bow. I do not listen to them. Their goal is not coexistence—it is domination,” Dodik said.

Dodik emphasized that Republika Srpska will not disappear.

“Not from politics, not from history, not from the hearts and determination of every Serb. Sarajevo may not be able to accept that—but there is absolutely nothing it can do about it,” Dodik concluded.
