The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, will be on a working visit to Hungary at the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
“I will be on a working visit to Hungary at the invitation of my friend and host, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. I will discuss strategic projects in the fields of energy and agriculture with Prime Minister Orbán, as Republika Srpska wants to build its economy with those who understand and respect us,” Dodik stated in a post on the social network X.
He emphasized that Hungary is today a symbol of state policy that protects its people, borders, and way of life, and is therefore a natural ally of Republika Srpska.
“While some in the West threaten to settle migrants in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary shows how a state is defended—both at the border and through institutions,” he added.
Dodik stressed that Republika Srpska shares the values of freedom, independence, and European tradition with Hungary, and that in a changing world, it is important to have friends who do not look away when times are difficult.
“That is why we are grateful that Hungary understands our positions both in Brussels and in the region,” Dodik stated.
He said that the cooperation between Srpska and Hungary is an example that one does not have to choose between East and West, but between respect and blackmail.
“History has not always been easy for Serbs and Hungarians, but today’s times teach us how much true partnership matters. I am going to talk, work, and build—for the benefit of Republika Srpska and for a lasting friendship,” said the President of Srpska.
