The handball players of Sloga are the winners of the Republika Srpska Cup for the 2024/25 season. They achieved this success after a 32:27 (15:12) victory over the team Višegrad HED.
It was an exciting final in which the team from Doboj mostly held the lead with a four-goal advantage.
That remained the case until the 47th minute, when the visiting team took a 23:22 lead – but then stopped.
Sloga took advantage of that and ultimately celebrated a 32:27 win, led by Dario Đenadija who scored nine goals and was the top scorer. His teammate Đorđe Bosić, with 15 saves, was named the best goalkeeper.
On the other side, goalkeeper Goran Raković stood out with 12 saves, Lazar Račković scored six goals, and Đorđo Račković added five, earning the title of best player of the 29th Republika Srpska Cup final.
The transitional trophy was handed to captain Dušan Milićević by Marinko Umičević, president of the Handball Federation of Republika Srpska, while the permanent trophy was awarded by Darko Starčević, chief of staff to the mayor of Doboj, Boris Jerinić, who also presented a check worth 4,000 marks.
Gold medals were awarded by Zoran Milošević, president of the Assembly of the Handball Federation of Republika Srpska.
Silver medals were presented by Nedeljko Perišić, vice-president of the Handball Federation of Republika Srpska, and the 3,000-mark check was handed over by Zoran Milošević.
The Handball Federation of Republika Srpska and the technical organizer MRK Sloga did an excellent job, with great credit also going to the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who was the patron of this handball event.
