A group of nine councilors from the Municipal Assembly of Bileća have donated their monthly stipends—totaling 2,700 KM—to support children and youth with developmental disabilities from Kosovo and Metohija.
The Bileća Municipal Assembly consists of 17 councilors, and nine of them—Dražen Dunđer, Slobodan Čomić, Rajko Vuković, Milan Dučić, Miodrag Šešlija, Anastasija Aleksić, Danilo Ilić, Željko Samardžić, and Srđan Samardžić—selflessly gave up their monthly allowance of 300 KM each, according to a statement from the Committee for Aid to Kosovo and Metohija.
“It is important to note that Dražen Dunđer has previously demonstrated his humanitarian spirit and dedication to Kosovo and Metohija, having donated 1,000 KM of his personal funds years ago for the construction of the ‘Support Me – January 9’ Day Center in Kosovska Mitrovica, which serves children and youth with developmental disabilities,” the Committee stated.
The sum of 2,700 KM will be directed toward children and youth from the Day Center in Kosovska Mitrovica who lack the means to attend rehabilitation in the upcoming months.
The Committee expressed gratitude to the generous people of Bileća for standing with their compatriots and Serb children in Kosovo and Metohija.
“This is the first group of compassionate individuals, following the SNSD parliamentary club in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, to provide support through our Committee in this way—helping the Serb people and contributing to their survival in the sacred land of Kosovo and Metohija,” the Committee added.
