The National Theatre from Belgrade, one of the most renowned cultural institutions in the region, will officially open this year’s Teatar Fest “Petar Kočić” with a ballet evening entitled A night of ballet, to be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 8:00 PM in Borik Hall.
The audience can expect an exceptional selection of the most famous scenes from the world’s classical ballet repertoire – abridged versions of the legendary works Swan Lake, La Bayadère, and Le Corsaire will be performed. Over the course of 1 hour and 40 minutes, the audience will experience everything that makes ballet magnificent: emotional intensity, visual splendor, and technical virtuosity.
Through the most touching and thrilling moments of these classics, the ballet ensemble of the National Theatre Belgrade will guide viewers from the tragic love and surreal world of swan maidens in Swan Lake, through the exotic scenes of India in La Bayadère, to the dynamic, adventurous, and passionate tale of pirates in Le Corsaire.
The ensemble brings elegance, strength, and expressiveness to the stage in a format carefully adapted to contemporary audiences, while preserving the depth and essence of each individual piece.
In line with the formal nature of the evening, an elegant dress code is recommended, and public parking will be available in the immediate vicinity of the hall. Ticket prices range from 50 to 150 BAM, and due to strong interest, timely purchase is advised.
A night of ballet offers a unique opportunity to experience the grandeur and power of ballet art, in an atmosphere worthy of major artistic celebrations.
