Banjac: Republika Srpska remains committed to strengthening ties with those who respect our history and freedom

In Volgograd today, the forum “Great Heritage – Common Future” was officially opened, organized at the initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.

Delegations from about twenty countries were invited to the event, including delegations from Slovakia, Serbia, China, and Republika Srpska.

The forum was opened by the presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, and the event attracted significant attention.

The delegation of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska at this gathering includes prominent parliamentarians, among them Darko Banjac, who is also the president of the People’s Party of Srpska.

Forum participants welcomed the arrival of the delegation from Banja Luka, viewing it as a confirmation of the historical and political ties that Republika Srpska nurtures toward Russia and its allies.

“The presence of Republika Srpska at the forum in Volgograd confirms our commitment to preserving identity and traditional values. In times of global challenges, partnerships with true friends are of special importance. Republika Srpska remains committed to strengthening ties with those who respect our history and freedom,” emphasized Banjac.

Banjac also added that preserving the legacy left by our ancestors is crucial.

“We must preserve the heritage of the fight against Nazism and fascism, especially today when some countries are trying to relativize and erase that historic struggle. The victors must remain victors, as Putin said in his speech,” noted Banjac.

The forum in Volgograd will last until April 30.
