The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, stated today that the security situation in Srpska is favorable, considering the current political and security developments.
“The favorable security situation will be maintained. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska is the guarantor of safety for all citizens, especially Bosniaks and Croats,” Karan said.
He noted that the Ministry has the best indicators regarding security over the past five years.
“We are seeing a decline in crime across all segments. Compared to the Federation of BiH, we have twice as few criminal offenses,” Karan added.
Commenting on the recent car arson incident involving MP Nebojša Vukanović, Karan said that the Ministry, in cooperation with the competent prosecutor’s office, is taking all necessary measures to resolve the case.
“This type of criminal offense is among the most difficult to solve because physical evidence is usually destroyed. In Trebinje, we have three such unresolved cases, while we’ve solved similar incidents in Zvornik and other locations,” Karan explained.
