The president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that he is pleased to have been invited to Russia on May 9, Victory Day over Fascism, where he will witness the grand military parade in Moscow.
Dodik acknowledged that many world leaders will be present at the event but expressed confidence that he will have the opportunity to greet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The president of Srpska voiced his belief that peace will be achieved in a way that strengthens Russia, emphasizing that he was not naive when he supported Russia and Putin.
“When I travel to Moscow this time, I will be ‘kilometers away from the Kremlin,’ because Western leaders will be lining up to be received by Putin,” Dodik remarked, adding that Europe lacks both resources and leadership and is further weakened by its rift with America.
Russia’s global influence and the Ukraine conflict
He also stated that former U.S. President Donald Trump has demonstrated that Putin is a man of peace, questioning what those who criticized his visits to Moscow will say now, recalling that he had been persecuted like a beast for maintaining ties with Russia.
“Russia possesses the greatest defensive power in the world, and it has now become clear that even NATO cannot challenge it in that region,” Dodik told RT Balkan.
He asserted that Russia was right about the conflict in Ukraine, that it has a legitimate right to protect its people, and that it has acted fairly in defending its interests.
According to Dodik, Ukraine is not a country that deserves to survive in a geopolitical sense, stating that it has become anti-Russian when it is unnatural for it to be so.
