Ćeranić: A verdict against the president of Srpska would trigger a new crisis in BiH

The Dean of the Faculty of Security Sciences at the University of Banja Luka, Predrag Ćeranić, stated that any verdict against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, would lead to a new crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“If a court ruling were to prevent President Milorad Dodik from continuing his political engagement, it would result in escalation and a crisis in BiH,” Ćeranić said, emphasizing that the judicial process has been political from the very beginning.

“This is not just a trial against Dodik—it is an attempt to undermine Republika Srpska,” Ćeranić stressed.

Speaking on a morning news program, he expressed hope that a fair resolution would ultimately be reached.

Addressing the issue of migrants in Europe, Ćeranić stated that Germany is the most affected country.

“The past period has been marked by numerous terrorist attacks in Europe, and it is crucial to continuously address the threat of terrorism,” Ćeranić noted.

He pointed out that perpetrators of terrorist attacks always have geopolitical motives and objectives.

“The hallmark of terrorist activity is an attack driven by political and ideological motives, while the methods used evolve over time. A broad front is needed in the fight against terrorism, as security and politics are interconnected. It is crucial to combat the scourge of terrorism,” Ćeranić concluded.
