Vladimir Kuvalja, the head of cycling in Republika Srpska and the organizer of the Belgrade – Banja Luka race, which this year will be held under the name “Tour through Serbia and Srpska,” will visit the Sarajevo-Romanija and Drina regions this week.
The purpose of his visit is to inspect the cities and municipalities included in the race and to promote this area as a global tourist destination.
Kuvalja is also a member of the board of the European Cycling Union in the field of cycle tourism. It is worth noting that in 2021, he successfully brought the Amateur World Championship to East Sarajevo, placing this region on the global cycling map.
During his visit, he will meet with representatives of cities and municipalities in this part of Republika Srpska.
“The Romanija region, along with Jahorina, is one of the most beautiful destinations for outdoor tourism, and we must take pride in it while continuously promoting the natural beauty of Republika Srpska,” Kuvalja stated.
“I will spend several days in this region, meeting with city and municipal officials—first and foremost, my friends, but also individuals we must be proud of. Two race stages are planned to take place in this region. Additionally, I will talk to representatives of cycling clubs active in this area. Cycling is experiencing significant growth here, and we need to continue this trend,” Kuvalja added.
