Aulić: Every report on Israel, Gaza, and the Holocaust in Sarajevo-based media is flooded with anti-Semitic comments

Advisor to the Serb member and Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saša Aulić, stated that there is a visibly growing level of anti-Semitism in certain parts of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), which cannot be ignored or minimized.

“In Bosnia and Herzegovina, a 14-year-old Islamic fanatic in Bosanska Krupa kills one police officer and injures another, citing ‘support for Zionists’ as the primary motive for the attack. Earlier, a newly of-age Bosniak from Austria attempted a terrorist attack on the Israeli consulate in Munich. All of this occurred within the past five months,” Aulić noted in a post on the social media platform X.

He emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country where fans in Zenica trample on the Israeli flag and then chant the infamous Nazi slogan “Juden auf Wiedersehen” from the stands.

Aulić pointed out that in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jewish symbols are equated with the swastika and the Ustasha “U” or are drawn in garbage bins alongside messages like “keep the world clean.”

He added that “every report about Israel, Gaza, the Holocaust, or Jews on Sarajevo-based media outlets is flooded with hundreds of anti-Semitic, anti-Jewish—not just anti-Israeli—comments, glorifications of Hitler, and regret that the Holocaust did not ‘finish the job,’ among other things.”

“And then these very same media outlets feign offense and shock when someone draws attention to the rising level of anti-Semitism in certain parts of FBiH, which is so evident that it cannot be ignored or minimized, despite their persistent but unsuccessful attempts to do so,” Aulić concluded.
