Dodik: The Holocaust is the darkest stain on Europe’s face

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, emphasized this evening that the Holocaust is the darkest stain on Europe’s face, one that must always be remembered with respect, while every attempt to revive evil forces, anywhere and against anyone, must be thwarted.

  • “Only then will our remembrance be complete, and our fight a meaningful and noble cause,” Dodik stated in a post on the social media platform X.

He stressed the importance of remembering all events and the suffering of the Jewish people.

Dodik noted that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, where Jews perished, as well as the Jasenovac camp in Croatia, where the majority of victims were Serbs, alongside Jews and Roma.

  • “This is why Republika Srpska will pay tribute to the victims of the Holocaust, praying that such a horrific scenario never happens again,” said the President of Srpska.

As part of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a projection was displayed on the Palace of the Republic to honor the victims.
