The Serb member and Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, will attend the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in Oświęcim, Poland.
The event, marking this historic occasion, will be attended by numerous presidents and prime ministers of European countries. The Red Army liberated Auschwitz, the infamous death camp, on January 27, 1945.
Auschwitz was the largest Nazi death camp and one of the primary symbols of the Holocaust. Approximately 1.4 million people were killed in the camp, including around 1.1 million Jews.
