The City Olympic Pool in Banja Luka is now equipped with an automated defibrillator, a life-saving device.
The defibrillator was provided at the initiative of parents of swimmers from the Borac Swimming Club and was ceremonially handed over by Dr. Monika Gasević Kasagić, one of the parents of Borac swimmers.

This modern defibrillator is user-friendly and can be operated by individuals without medical training. The device detects irregular heart rhythms and automatically applies an electric shock to normalize the rhythm.
Given that swimming is a sport that places additional strain on the heart, such a device is crucial for ensuring the safety of all pool visitors.
“Every day, the pool is used by hundreds of swimmers and water polo players. We hope this device will never be needed, but it’s reassuring to know it’s here,” said Svetislav Lazić, Director of JP Akvana.
The device was donated by the company 3D NEA Solutions from Mostar.
“This donation is the result of our collaboration with the parents of swimmers from Banja Luka. We look forward to continuing our humanitarian efforts in this city,” said Adnan Demirović, Director of 3D NEA Solutions.
