The sanctions imposed by the outgoing US administration on high-ranking officials of Republika Srpska are yet another proof of the senselessness and hypocrisy of their foreign policy, whose failures we are witnessing worldwide, wrote Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik on his “X” account, reacting to the new sanctions imposed by the US on individuals from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dodik stated that the decision to sanction Rajko Kuzmanović, DŽerard Selman, Siniša Karan, and other officials from Republika Srpska is nothing but a politically motivated move—a desperate attempt to harm, destabilize Republika Srpska, and impose a unitarian concept of Bosnia and Herzegovina contrary to the will of the Serb people.
“Such actions, both domestically and internationally, illustrate why neither the American people nor people around the world want them anymore. These moves show that they are permanently defeated and have lost all credibility. While American voters turn to leaders like Donald Trump, who advocate for sovereignty and economic patriotism, the outgoing administration uses its last breath to impose sanctions, once again showcasing its impotence. The world will remember them only for their evil,” Dodik stated.
He added that Republika Srpska will not abandon its principles or succumb to injustice.
“Our policy, based on sovereignty, Christian values, and the right of every nation to self-determination, has proven to be correct. Friends of Republika Srpska across Europe and the world recognize our courage and vision. To the outgoing administration, we say: Your time is up! Republika Srpska is turning toward the future, cooperating with leaders who understand the importance of sovereignty and economic development.
Our strength lies in the unity of our people and the vision of a just world where the interests of all nations are respected, not just those of privileged centers of power. You will never again repeat yourselves, not even in America. Like everything else you’ve tried to break us with, this will become just a footnote in history that we will one day recall.
As for Murphy’s pressure on banks, we will find a way to protect our citizens. Starting Monday, all banks will be required to open KM accounts for all individuals,” Dodik concluded.
