Strong support for Srpska leadership in defending constitutional position and preserving peace

As part of the celebrations marking January 9, Republika Srpska Day, the first session of the Republika Srpska Senate was held today in Banja Luka.

The session of the Senate, an advisory body to the highest constitutional institutions of Republika Srpska, was chaired by the Deputy President of the Senate and the Serb member and Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, as announced by the Office of the President of Republika Srpska.

During the session, newly appointed senators took the oath of office, the Republika Srpska Senate was formally constituted, and decisions on the appointment of Senate members were presented.

The senators addressed issues of significant importance for the national development of Republika Srpska and expressed strong support for the leadership of Republika Srpska in their efforts to defend its constitutional position and commitment to maintaining peace.

The session was attended by the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, Prime Minister Radovan Višković, and the Chairwoman of the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska, Srebrenka Golić.
