The director of the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs (RUGIPP), Dragan Stanković, stated today in Laktaši that the property of Republika Srpska remains inviolable and continues to be owned by the Republic, despite earlier initiatives to impose certain acts concerning so-called state property of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We continue to fully manage the property of Srpska, just as we have done so far. There will be no changes or problems in this regard,” Stanković told reporters during an annual meeting with heads of local offices. The meeting addressed the 2025 work plan for surveying and establishing property registries, along with other administrative matters.
Stanković emphasized that RUGIPP, in accordance with the regulations governing immovable property in Srpska, abolished social ownership and converted derived rights into ownership rights in favor of public property holders of Republika Srpska.
“This means that each property has a designated ownership holder recorded in the public registers maintained by our administration,” said Stanković, adding that RUGIPP will actively participate in the parade marking Republika Srpska Day on January 9.
The Chief Republic Attorney, Milimir Govedarica, affirmed that Srpska will continue to manage its property.
“All attempts to usurp property rights by those who disregard the Constitution and laws of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be thwarted. We will not and cannot allow it,” said Govedarica.
He emphasized the need for joint efforts between the Attorney’s Office, RUGIPP, and other relevant institutions regarding amendments and even the adoption of a new Law on the Attorney’s Office of Srpska to strengthen its role in protecting the public and republican interests.
The meeting in Laktaši also covered the work of regional offices during this year, defining boundaries of cadastral municipalities along the border with the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, establishing property registries in these municipalities, and conducting mass property valuation assessments.
