Mirjana Bjelica from Berkovići wrote the most beautiful letter in this year’s “Post of Srpska” contest, “Writing a Letter to Santa Claus,” and won a mobile phone, which will be presented to her at the Trebinje post office.
The second prize—a wireless speaker—was awarded to Dunja Rikalo from Trebinje.
Iva Miljković, a second-grade student from the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” elementary school in Trebinje, won the third prize. She was thrilled to receive wireless headphones.
“I wished for headphones and a smartwatch from Santa Claus. My mom helped me write the letter. I was good this year and listened to my parents. Today was fun; we played, sang, and took photos with Santa,” said Iva, who attended the award ceremony.
Milica Banđur, a sales and marketing representative at the Trebinje unit of “Post of Srpska,” highlighted that around 450 letters were received this year, written by children from kindergartens and schools across Eastern Herzegovina.
“This year, children were once again diligent and creative. Santa Claus and we at Post of Srpska had our hands full. In their letters, children mostly wished for mobile phones, headphones, and plush toys. While reading the letters, we noticed that they also wished for peace in the world, no illnesses, and for their loved ones to be healthy. It’s clear from the letters that our youngest have a lot of empathy,” said Banđur.
In addition to the top three prizes, children from kindergartens and elementary schools in Eastern Herzegovina who were the most creative received 50 gift packages as consolation prizes.
