Banjac: Nešić voluntarily responded to the Prosecutor’s Office summons

The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, voluntarily responded to the summons from the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the investigation against him.

This was confirmed to Mondo.

According to the portal, Nešić will provide a statement to the competent authorities.

The order for Nešić to give a statement was issued by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he will comply with the authorities, said Darko Banjac, president of the NPS party, which is a partner party to Nešić’s DNS.

“As far as I have been informed, Mr. Nešić reported to the Prosecutor’s Office and the police. He voluntarily went to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and the Prosecutor’s Office to give a statement and answer questions,” Banjac stated.

Banjac finds it “symptomatic” that the case dates back to 2017 and is being prosecuted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina rather than the Special Prosecutor’s Office of Republika Srpska.

“What is also symptomatic is that this is happening immediately after the session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. One of the speakers representing the DNS and NPS group was precisely Nešić. Before that, the media published a document indicating alleged threats against members of parliament by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Banjac pointed out, adding that this case appears to be an abuse of the Prosecutor’s Office for political purposes.
