Sarajevo, following orders from foreign mentors, refuses to slow down the process against the president of Republika Srpska

The summons for Republika Srpska’s President Milorad Dodik to attend a five-hour hearing just days after surgery, based on the findings of Sarajevo-based expert witness Haris Vranić, is seen by experts as further proof that there is no rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that the Court of BiH is not a legitimate court.

This assessment is supported by the fact that Vranić, through his public statements, violated both domestic and international legal standards.

The Association of Surgeons of Republika Srpska is adamant that, if necessary, the medical evaluation should have been conducted by the surgical team that performed the operation.

“This is not an expert evaluation but a provocation. Haris Vranić is a vascular surgeon, not a digestive surgeon,” said Zoran Aleksić, president of the Association of Surgeons of Republika Srpska.

“In this context, it is entirely inappropriate for him to assess the health condition of Republika Srpska’s President Milorad Dodik. His public comments were unprofessional and offensive. Such remarks undermine professional integrity,” Aleksić added.

Concerns over procedural fairness and legality

Minister Savo Minić, a legal expert, emphasized that the entire process demonstrates the absence of justice and legality in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He questioned how an expert who did not examine the patient could issue an opinion based on documents that are several days old.

“The entire time, the attempt has been to stage something that would justify coercion and speed up the reading of an already written verdict,” Minić said.

“What does this summons imply? Are they planning to drag the president out of his sickbed and into the courtroom? And if he cannot come, will they issue an arrest warrant? I don’t think this will succeed,” Minić stated firmly.

Calls for fairness and a professional approach

Goran Selak, president of the Socialist Party of Srpska, stressed that every process must be conducted according to laws and professional standards.

“No one should jeopardize the president’s health, and it is good that the defense will request a second opinion,” Selak emphasized.

He criticized the initial evaluation as incomprehensible.

“It is simply mind-boggling that a person undergoing treatment and rehabilitation is being summoned to court. Why the urgency?” Selak asked.

Political interference and accusations against the judiciary

Sanja Vulić of SNSD raised concerns about the accountability of Judge Sena Uzunović if Dodik’s health worsens during the trip to Sarajevo for the next hearing.

She also criticized Haris Vranić, labeling him as unqualified.

“He has not practiced medicine for years and is not an expert in any field,” Vulić asserted.

“He is part of the criminal network created by Michael Murphy, which also includes Nedim Ćosić, Sena Uzunović, and others. Murphy is determined not to leave Bosnia until Dodik is convicted,” Vulić claimed.

Unprecedented pressure and judicial urgency

According to the schedule published on the Court of BiH’s website, Dodik is expected to spend five hours in court during the hearing on Wednesday.

Observers see this as yet another absurdity in the process or as confirmation that Sena Uzunović is rushing to conclude the case, despite Dodik’s recent surgery.
