Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović and Russian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Kalabukhov emphasized that the relations between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation are at a high level, as evidenced by the frequent meetings between the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During their meeting in East Sarajevo, Goganović and Kalabukhov also discussed current socio-political issues and concluded that respecting the Dayton Peace Agreement is key to stability and prosperity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to a statement from the Deputy Minister of Defense’s office.
They noted that all decisions in Bosnia and Herzegovina must be made in accordance with the agreements between the two entities and three constituent peoples, as defined by the Dayton Peace Agreement.
The meeting was also attended by the Russian Federation’s Military Attaché in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brigadier Ilya Skryebnev, and the Chief of Staff of the Deputy Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Nikolić.
