Members of the Ju Jitsu Club Jahorina achieved outstanding results representing the Republika Srpska team at the World Championship and World Cup in Greece.
Jahorina Club, known as a rising team, began its training in Pale just eight years ago, and now, in less than a decade, has reached legendary results at the highest level of ju jitsu competition.
Anja Delipara, who has already claimed European and Balkan titles, continued her success by becoming the WORLD VICE-CHAMPION at the World Championship in Greece.
Other team members also performed excellently: Pavle Pandurević secured 9th place as a top junior, Dejan Plakalović also took 9th as an outstanding cadet, and young hopeful Luka Savić achieved 17th place.
Following the World Championship, the younger team members continued their success at the World Cup in the U14 category, achieving remarkable results.
Dušan Kusmuk and current Balkan champion Katarina Šupić won gold medals, dominating in their categories.
Tara Soković claimed a bronze medal in a highly competitive category, securing the third medal from the World Cup and the fourth overall from this prestigious competition.
Teodora Simanić and Andrija Čvor were close to winning bronze, lacking a bit of sporting luck, while Dejan Jerkić and Stefan Bosiljčić led the young team as coaches of the Republika Srpska national team.
Pale is proud of these champions and warmly welcomes them with open arms. Ju Jitsu Club Jahorina and the Municipality of Pale organized a ceremonial reception on the promenade for the champions: Anja Delipara, Dušan Kusmuk, Katarina Šupić, Tara Soković, Pavle Pandurević, Dejan Plakalović, Luka Savić, Andrija Čvor, and Teodora Simanić.
