The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that “the European Commission’s report on BiH’s progress is full of cynicism and inaccuracies.”
Dodik remarked that the report was authored by Muslims in Sarajevo and forwarded to European officials to tarnish the image of Republika Srpska without any basis.
“If they acknowledge noticeable progress, as they say, in BiH, then that progress couldn’t have happened without the SNSD and Republika Srpska. They’re contradicting themselves. If BiH made strides, then our contributions were part of that, so their claims simply don’t hold,” said Dodik, who is also the leader of SNSD.
He emphasized that the report is not any grand narrative but a document for bureaucrats in Brussels.
“A new Commission is being formed, so they need to present new people and want to show they’ve accomplished something. They talk about ‘notable’ or ‘visible progress’—well, if that’s the case, they should commend us, not criticize,” Dodik stated.
