President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, emphasized that BRICS represents the future and is a very powerful organization that continues to grow, noting that Republika Srpska sees its opportunity in that context.
Speaking about the 16th BRICS Summit, which begins on October 22 in Kazan, and which he will attend alongside many other officials, Dodik stated in an interview with Srna that Republika Srpska has long listened to European “fairy tales” and could have continued to do so for years if the EU had not become aware that there are other opportunities.
“We will not close the door to cooperation; we are open to all those who see potential in Republika Srpska, the possibility for collaboration, and a desire to improve it. We are honored to have the opportunity to appear at the BRICS Summit in Kazan. This speaks to the nature of our relationship with Russia and the friendship shown by President Vladimir Putin. We want to be where discussions about growth, development, and new opportunities for cooperation are happening,” Dodik emphasized.
He predicted that the day will soon come when more EU members will talk about the importance of cooperating with Russia.
“Currently, there are pressures, even threats and conditions, but the U.S. elections will show how naively Europe followed all of their conditions and how some policies are changing. We have remained committed to our policies and neutral in all conflicts that the great powers have tried to push us into. Republika Srpska will continue to act according to its policies and strengthen relationships that have proven to be extremely important for us, bringing significant global support,” stressed the President of Srpska.
Dodik mentioned that much is being said about Republika Srpska today, particularly falsehoods propagated through a media network on parts of the West that portrayed them as secessionists or “bad guys,” but that all the lies have yielded no results.
He stressed that many now realize they need to talk to Srpska, not talk about them or impose solutions.
“We want to reach out to all of them and engage in dialogue. If some want to command us but can’t, that’s their problem. We will always be open to cooperation and agreements; impositions are not in the spirit of the Serb people, and we will never accept them, nor will we pay attention to those who comment on anything. Russia and President Putin are our friends, just as all those who show us respect and acknowledge our rights and our voice are also our friends,” Dodik stated.
THERE WILL BE NO WAR IN BiH, NOR IS THERE ANY REASON FOR IT; THOSE WHO SPREAD THIS NARRATIVE ARE PLANNING TO CREATE NEW CHAOS
Commenting on NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s concerns about secessionist policies and Russia’s hybrid and cyber activities in the Western Balkans, Dodik stated that the secessionist narrative is being used to cover up the fact that nothing in Ukraine is going as planned by the West.
“What nonsense about Russian influence, when in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Americans appoint and remove people at will through a German puppet, and that’s considered positive and beneficial? Someone is making fun of us here, using us as pawns in this war they are waging against Russia. We have declared our neutrality because that is best for us. We support achieving lasting peace and oppose all forms of violence. We will not abandon our friends, nor will we take the side of those who started this,” President Dodik stated.
In the interview, Dodik emphasized that international law and justice must be protected, and the U.S. cannot have the sole right to determine what is correct and just based on its whims.
“There are laws and facts, and there should also be a firm commitment to peace. We don’t see that in the Americans,” Dodik said.
Commenting on the statement by former OHR official, German political scientist Alexander Rotert, that wars were likely prevented by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s intervention in Kosovo and CIA Director William Burns’ visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dodik said that whenever he reads about a supposed war in BiH from some global schemer, he knows that the Americans, Brits, and Germans are once again planning to stir up chaos.
“They never stopped. For years, we have been living in their chaos called Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through serious and responsible work, with full commitment to preserving the rights guaranteed by Dayton, we managed to pull Republika Srpska away from their influence and protect our people. There will be no war here, nor is there any reason for it. Everyone has their own, and Dayton guarantees that. Peace, stability, dialogue, and agreement are our top priorities, and it is our collective responsibility in BiH to ensure that. Any talk of unitarization is absolutely unacceptable and impossible and brings us to the point where Bosnia and Herzegovina formally splits into three parts, with each going its own way,” Dodik said.
This is not about secession, Dodik reiterated, but about the dissolution of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a community of two states that do not want to be together.
“Those who support Bosnian Muslims in unitarization are supporting the creation of their own Muslim mini-state, which they can build as they see fit. By doing so, they also give their support to the absolute independence of Republika Srpska. These things are clear, and no disinformation can hide them,” Dodik concluded.
KONAKOVIĆ IS A DISGRACE FOR THE BOSNIAKS AND AN AMERICAN PLOY, A CHEAP COPY OF BAKIR
Reacting to the statement made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konaković, at the Conference on Mine Action in Ukraine in Lausanne, where he claimed that Bosnia and Herzegovina supported a 2022 UN General Assembly resolution condemning “Russian aggression in Ukraine,” Dodik remarked that Konaković is not seen as a minister, but as someone who travels the world spreading lies to negotiate his freedom.
He added that other officials read news and reports about Bosnia and Herzegovina and will find many interesting things to read about Konaković.
“When they analyze that this man is connected to drug cartels, it’s hard for them to believe the lies he tells, which are easily verifiable. Nothing he talks about can actually be implemented, and everyone knows that. It’s just unbelievable how far this man will go. He’s a disgrace for the Bosniaks and an American ploy, a cheap copy of Bakir (Izetbegović), but worse because he is easier to manipulate. Maybe the foreign factor supports the chaos the Bosniaks are creating now, but that won’t always be the case. This was shown in Christian Schmidt’s activities related to Slaven Kovačević. Only the naive believe that foreigners will give the Bosnian Muslims everything they want. In the end, they will completely destroy Bosnia and Herzegovina. This suits us, and we will support it,” President Dodik stated.
CROATS HAVE DECIDED TO BALANCE WITH SCHMIDT, BUT THEY WILL SOON REALIZE IT WON’T BRING THEM ANY GOOD
When asked to comment on the statement by Minister of Justice in the Council of Ministers, Davor Bunoza, regarding the “Slaven Kovačević” case and that all rulings of the European Court of Human Rights must be respected and implemented, Dodik recalled that just a few days ago, all of Sarajevo erupted in response to Andrej Plenković’s remark that the Strasbourg court rulings were fabricated, and there was no reaction from the EU.
“That’s the hypocrisy we keep witnessing. Experience teaches us that only the Serbs are attacked when they speak the truth. The Croats obviously have their own plans, which is legitimate. However, we will not remain silent on the matter. They decided to balance with Christian Schmidt because they see their own interest in it, but they will soon realize that it won’t bring them anything good. The Croats, like us, know very well that there is no Bosnia and Herzegovina where someone like Schmidt imposes laws,” Dodik emphasized.
He reiterated that the issue of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina must be resolved, with foreign judges finally leaving, and this will certainly happen.
Speaking about the withdrawal of the proposal for the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH by SDS delegate Želimir Nešković in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Dodik said that SNSD would propose the law and see what SDS will say then.
“I want to believe that Nešković had somewhat sincere intentions because we supported his proposal. He admitted that he was pressured and used SNSD as an excuse for withdrawing, but the fact is that his party forced him to do it,” the President of Srpska pointed out.
VUKOVIĆ IS NOT A SERB DELEGATE, BUT A FOREIGN PAWN; HE SHOWED HIS DISREGARD FOR SRPSKA’S INSTITUTIONS
Responding to a statement by Nenad Vuković from PDP, whom the CEC appointed as a delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, that he expects faster work in this chamber in the future, Dodik stated that Nenad Vuković is not a Serb delegate, as the Constitution clearly defines how and who elects delegates to the House of Peoples.
According to Dodik, Vuković is not a Serb delegate but a foreign pawn who declared himself a delegate outside of all procedures and rules.
“He was not confirmed by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, and this shows his disregard for the institutions of Republika Srpska,” said the President of Srpska.
He described Vuković as a destructive individual belonging to those structures that have worked to weaken Republika Srpska. “These structures within PDP destroyed SDS because they began cooperating with foreigners and distancing themselves from their original policies. There will be time to see how they behave further, but it is clear who controls their work and what can be expected from them,” Dodik said, adding that PDP is an interest-driven project focused only on political deals.
He concluded by saying that PDP practically does not exist in Republika Srpska anymore, but Vuković is still trying to impose himself as some factor in speeding up parliamentary work.
“PDP only accelerated its own demise through its disastrous policies of complete obedience to foreigners,” Dodik stated.
SCHMIDT SAID ABOUT ALIJA IZETBEGOVIĆ WHAT ALL FOREIGNERS THINK
Commenting on the OHR’s statement in response to questions from federal media that Alija Izetbegović, as the first President of the Presidency of BiH, was “a key figure in achieving peace and the Dayton Peace Agreement,” and that he “saved lives,” Dodik said Schmidt is now afraid for his own life in BiH as the so-called pro-Bosnian forces are protesting.
“He said exactly what he thought, and what Carla Del Ponte said earlier. All foreigners think this, but they stay silent and attack us Serbs with every means available. How is it that no one minds the gathering of these intellectual ‘pro-Bosnian’ giants, but they are upset when we gather in large numbers and say enough of Schmidt’s imposition of laws? I would have loved to be at those protests in front of the OHR, as long as they removed the ‘pro-Bosnian’ label. I would gladly join them in getting rid of that impostor,” Dodik emphasized.
He noted that Bosnian Muslims know they cannot achieve anything without the Serbs and Croats and continues to repeat that cooperation is the only solution.
“Foreigners will always do what is in their interest. Let’s work together on what is best for us and cooperate. But it’s pointless; they don’t want to. Now they have protests and rallies; let them deal with it. And let them know we are also working seriously to send him (Schmidt) home, but it would go faster if we all stood together,” concluded the President of Srpska.
