A hybrid war is being waged against Republika Srpska, in which the Bosniak political factor, in conjunction with foreigners, is producing a whole range of political arsenals directed against the leadership, institutions, competencies, and constitutional capacities of Srpska, said Staša Košarac, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, in an interview with Srna.
- The most obvious example of this is the classically politically motivated trial against President Milorad Dodik, who is being prosecuted for the fact that he respected the Constitution and institutions of Republika Srpska, refusing to yield to the will of a foreigner without a mandate under Annex 10 of the Dayton Agreement. This farce before the Court of BiH has been ongoing for over a year, and each new hearing only proves one thing—the absurdity of BiH and its further erosion—stated Košarac.
He noted that part of this arsenal includes the workings and decisions of the truncated Constitutional Court of BiH, which lacks judges from Republika Srpska and seeks to seize property and undermine Srpska’s autonomy and constitutional competencies.
Košarac pointed out that the attack on Srpska, as well as the classic violation of the Election Law and the Constitution, is represented by the election of delegates from a “kinder egg” in the Serbian Club in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH by the CIK’s decision, which is contrary to the Constitution of BiH, clearly defining that delegates from the Serbian people in the House of Peoples are elected by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
It is also symptomatic, he emphasized, that the opposition has withdrawn the proposed law on the Constitutional Court of BiH from procedure in the House of Peoples, which is evidently part of a scenario against Republika Srpska.
- I won’t even mention the political sanctions against President Dodik and other officials from Srpska. This is literally the bullying of the American administration under the patronage of Michael Murphy over people who have committed absolutely no offense. The continuation of political arrogance and pressure against Srpska and the Serb people—Košarac stated.
He told Srna that the citizens of Srpska are aware of the dirty political war against their homeland and its officials.
- They also know that the policy of President Dodik and the SNSD firmly stands on the rampart of Srpska. They proved this with overwhelming support in the recent local elections. The historic result and success of President Dodik and the SNSD is the reason why pressure on Srpska and its institutions is increasing through the influence of Murphy and Christian Schmidt on the judiciary.
The policies of this malignant duo have been defeated by the free will of the citizens of Srpska and support for President Dodik! They cannot endanger us! Our response to anti-Serb policies is a call for Serbian unity, strengthening the constitutional capacity of Srpska and its institutions, and emphasizing the agreement between the two entities and three constituent nations, with strict adherence to Dayton and the Constitution—Košarac emphasized.
He stated that political attacks on Srpska will only strengthen its capacities and President Dodik’s policies in defending the interests of Srpska, the Serb people, its constitutional capacity, and the international visibility of Srpska.
