Višković: Konaković’s address at the UN – misuse of joint institutions

Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, stated that the address by Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konaković, at the UN represents a misuse of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s joint institutions, as he does not have consent to speak in such a manner and represent his people at the expense of the other two constituent peoples in BiH.

“This reflects the complete absurdity of the existence of BiH, where politicians, mainly those from Sarajevo and the Bosniak people, to which Konaković belongs, do not respect the Constitution of the country they swear allegiance to,” said Višković when asked to comment on Konaković’s address at the UN.

According to Višković, this is yet another instance of Konaković’s senseless behavior, as well as that of similar politicians in Sarajevo who disregard the Constitution of their own country.

“A country where the Constitution is not respected is doomed to fail and disappear,” Višković emphasized.

He pointed out that Konaković and those like him are weakening and leading to the eventual dissolution of the country they claim to uphold.

“It could also be said that this is personal promotion for Konaković and his party, as he does not have an agreed-upon position, and he comes from the joint institutions of BiH,” Višković noted.

He further stated that if BiH is to survive within its existing borders, this type of political behavior by Konaković and others will have to change immediately.

“Such addresses undermine coexistence and trust in BiH, and they manifest a disregard for the Constitution of BiH. If the disregard for the Constitution continues, the inevitable outcome will be the disappearance of such a country,” Višković concluded.
