Poet Marko Milošević and singer Boris Režak hosted an evening of poetry and song in Trebinje.
During the rich program, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy Režak’s music and the poetry of Milošević, one of the most prominent contemporary Serb poets.
Milosava Supić Vuković, director of the Trebinje public library, said that the event, held in the library’s garden, was organized as a gift to their fellow citizens who support their work.
Vuković noted that they wouldn’t have been able to organize such significant events without the support of the city, mayor Mirko Ćurić, and other officials from the City Administration, who recognize the importance of culture. She emphasized that the library has made great strides in the cultural field, organizing key events.
Poet Milošević shared that he and Režak have performed 150 shows over the past year and two months in countries across the region, and this was their second time in Trebinje.
“We perform almost every other night somewhere, and we came here with open hearts. This city is magical. We’ve accomplished something big by bringing poetry and true music back to the people, something that has been missing for the last 30 years. People are craving genuine emotion,” said Milošević, adding that they have about 15 performances each month.
Režak emphasized that their performance is original, with him performing his music while Milošević recites his poetry.
