Gacko and its surrounding areas boast significant yet underutilized tourism potential, as recently discovered by the crew of the show “The Seeker of Nature”, which explores natural and historical landmarks.
Thanks to the surrounding mountains of Volujak, Zelengora, Maglić, and Lebršnik, as well as the Čemerno mountain pass, Gacko is an ideal destination for the development of various tourism and adventure activities that connect with nature.
The region is home to the “Volujak” mountain camp, which attracts numerous tourists. Visitors are particularly interested in the traditional mountain huts, known as katuns, located in the nearby mountains, and enjoy the beautiful mountainous landscape that surrounds this Herzegovinian municipality.
For hiking enthusiasts, Gacko recently introduced the Via Ferrata Kuk on Volujak Mountain, expanding the town’s adventure tourism offerings.
“Gacko is a place that has so much to offer. Today we visited two caves, explored a lake, and hiked up Lebršnik. The views from Lebršnik took our breath away, and the caves were equally impressive. Come to our Gacko and see for yourself how this area has been unjustly overlooked, and how much it has to offer if you just scratch the surface,” said “The Seeker of Nature.”
The show explores natural and historical sites, with host Vuk and his team guiding viewers through various locations in the mountainous Balkans through engaging video stories.
