Dodik: All pressure on Srpska aims at creating a unitary BiH

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated in an interview with Srna that Bosniak politicians in the Federation of BiH (FBiH), together with foreigners, have made a mockery of institutions in that entity, where local politicians have no say.

BOSNIAK POLITICIANS ACCEPT FOREIGN DECISIONS, EXPECTING THEM TO DELIVER A UNITARY BiH

“Bosniak politicians, elected by the people of FBiH to serve the interests of the entity’s residents, are now implementing foreign decisions, hoping they will deliver a centralized, unitary BiH, which will never happen,” Dodik said.

He pointed out that all the pressure being exerted on Srpska is aimed at creating a unitary BiH and the wishful thinking that Bosniaks will gain control over all jurisdictions, allowing them to have the final say on everything.

“This will remain nothing more than a pipe dream and unfulfilled fantasies, as even the BiH Constitution does not allow it. It is clearly stated in the Constitution: BiH is composed of two entities and three constituent peoples—Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks. Everything else is just their fairy tale. They can delude themselves and play all they want, but in BiH, it is clear who has which competencies. All these legal absurdities and unconstitutional activities can be dismissed as irrelevant,” emphasized the President of Srpska.

When asked to comment on Christian Schmidt’s meeting with SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović, Dodik said that Schmidt, whom he described as an “illegal” figure falsely claiming to be the High Representative, has now resorted to meeting with Izetbegović because no one else will meet with him. Dodik speculated that perhaps through this German citizen, the Americans are sending a warning to Elmedin Konaković that he might soon be ousted.

IF A UNITARY BiH ISN’T POSSIBLE, BOSNIAKS WANT A BiH WITH “COMPLIANT” SERBS AND CROATS, WHICH WILL NEVER HAPPEN

Commenting on Zlatko Lagumdžija’s statement that Bosniaks knew they had no chance of success with the Srebrenica resolution because they lacked institutional capacity and had to rely on Željko Komšić’s vote in the BiH Presidency, Dodik said this confirms the kind of BiH they want to create.

“They knew they couldn’t succeed, but they still relied on their borrowed Croat, Komšić, which speaks volumes and proves what we’ve been saying for years about the kind of BiH they want to build. If they can’t have a unitary BiH, they’ll settle for one with ‘compliant’ Serbs and Croats,” Dodik stated.

He emphasized that the resolution on Srebrenica, along with the actions of Lagumdžija, Denis Bećirović, and Konaković, has only accelerated the process of BiH’s dissolution.

“All their efforts and the chaos they’ve created have only strengthened us and convinced many of our friends that what we’ve been warning about for years is true. Their plan to outvote Serbs is unworkable, and everything they’ve done has only alerted us to better protect our autonomy,” Dodik said.

He pointed out that Republika Srpska is now more visible in BiH than ever before and is stronger than BiH itself.

“Today, BiH’s strength can only be measured by the strength of Srpska, as the Federation is completely unstable and dysfunctional. They should ask themselves what kind of leadership BiH has and whether such a thing exists without Srpska’s decision. Of course, it doesn’t exist, and they can only achieve something through lies and tricks. But everything done in that way is short-lived. There is no BiH without Republika Srpska, and they need to understand that,” Dodik emphasized.

THE ONLY WAY FOR BOSNIAKS TO HAVE FULL CONTROL IS TO PEACEFULLY SEPARATE AND FORM THEIR OWN STATE

If Bosniaks want to have full control, the only way to achieve that, according to Dodik, is for the entities to peacefully separate and for them to form their own state.

“We see that BiH is becoming more of a burden for them, and the process of separation will naturally happen, whether they like it or not. They don’t want the Dayton BiH, and they can’t get a unitary one, so the only solution is peaceful separation—each entity for itself—so they can fully control their own state. We won’t stand in their way,” concluded President Milorad Dodik.
