Advisor to the President of Republika Srpska, Bojan Savić, stated that the party slogans and pamphlets Elmedin Konaković presents at international gatherings, where he is supposed to act as the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers, only harm Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
“When a foreign minister attends an international event and represents his party’s politics instead of the official stances of the institutions, it directly undermines and destabilizes BiH and its Constitution,” Savić emphasized in response to Konaković’s speech during the panel discussion “EU After the Elections – Action or Passivity” in Bled, where he once again spoke about the alleged malign Russian influence in BiH.
Savić stated that Konaković is a deeply compromised individual whose words carry no weight. He added that Konaković’s politics have been exposed in the foreign press, and most officials know who the representatives of the Bosniaks in BiH are and with whom they are connected.
“Russia has consistently demonstrated its commitment to upholding the Dayton Agreement, and BiH enjoys all the privileges of the good relations and ties that Srpska has with Russia. Konaković had no issues with Russia when gas prices for Sarajevo remained the same, yet he continues, under orders from the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo, to stir up hatred and constantly attack Srpska in order to earn a few points from foreigners,” Savić told Srna.
He described them as mere hypocrites who make empty promises to everyone to stay in power, while on the other hand, they use Russian gas but talk about more expensive American gas.
“In every scenario, the Bosniaks are doing just fine, and this situation in BiH suits them the most. They do nothing, expecting foreigners to make decisions for BiH, and blame Republika Srpska for everything, attacking anything associated with Serbs without taking any responsibility. It’s the same story as with the SDA, supported by America. Whoever is in power in the Federation of BiH or as a partner at the BiH level from the Bosniak political parties, it’s all the same. The reason nothing is being done, and why BiH has been stagnant for decades, is not Republika Srpska but the Bosniak unitarist policy supported by parts of the West. Srpska is developing and building, and they all know it, but they continue to lie and pander to foreigners, incapable of doing anything themselves for a better future for their people, even their own,” Savić concluded.
