The Tax Administration of Srpska collected 2.719 billion marks in public revenues for Republika Srpska during the period from January to August this year, which is 331.8 million KM or 14 percent more compared to the same period last year.
Contributions were collected in the amount of 1.653 billion KM, which is 178.2 million KM more than in the same period last year. The collection of contributions for the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (Fond PIO) amounted to about 993 million KM, marking a 12 percent increase, while the collection of contributions for the Health Insurance Fund amounted to 540 million KM, which is a 13 percent increase compared to the same period last year. In the first eight months of this year, the collection of contributions for the Employment Bureau and the Children’s Protection Fund increased by 12 percent compared to the same period last year.
Direct taxes in the first eight months of this year were collected in the amount of 681.3 million KM, which is 134.2 million KM more than in the first eight months of last year. The largest collection was achieved in corporate income tax, amounting to 367.9 million KM, which is 83.1 million KM or 29 percent more. Income tax also recorded an increase, having been collected in the amount of 274.7 million marks during the observed period, which is 48.8 million KM or 22 percent more compared to the period from January to August last year.
As for other public revenues, collection this year amounted to 384.5 million KM, which is 19.4 million KM more compared to the period from January to August 2023. Regarding this group of public revenues, there was a continued increase in the collection of fees for organizing games of chance by 25 percent, and an increase in the collection of fees and charges by seven percent was also recorded.
In terms of August alone this year, public revenue collection amounted to about 346 million KM, which is 43.9 million KM or 15 percent more compared to the same month last year, with higher collections in direct taxes, contributions, and other public revenues.
