“For the first time after seven months, we have come to Banja Luka. It is beautiful here. When we set off from Slovenia to the city on the Vrbas River, we stopped for a few days at the seaside in Croatia with the babies. It was great because they are very well-behaved. A difficult and stressful period is behind us.”
This is how Milana Petrović, the mother of five children, including the first Banja Luka quadruplets Matej, Marko, Luka, and Jovan, sums up her impressions of everything they have been through and the babies who have become an attraction.
“People are constantly calling us, wanting to see us, to be with the babies, to help us. Everyone is delighted, and they all say they would love to have twins,” Milana recounts, sharing the reactions of the people of Banja Luka when they strolled through the city. “Wherever we go, everyone approaches us. We are quite an attraction; people are surprised and amazed at how big the babies are.”
Since the head of the family, Nemanja, works in Slovenia and the family currently lives there, Milana says that Slovenians are equally delighted, and everyone takes pictures with the babies.
Advice
Milana also has a message for large families: above all, to have faith in each other.
“I would advise them to organize well and stay united. The most important thing is that the children are healthy, and then everything else will slowly fall into place,” Milana advised.
The boys are already starting to show differences, not so much in appearance, but more in character.
Prayers for everything to be alright
“It was a shock at first when they said twins were coming, then triplets, and then the news that quadruplets were on the way. We prayed that everything would go well and that they would come through as they should. I help as much as I can, and I can already see differences in the babies; they already have different characters,” said grandma Ranka Gagović in an interview with “Novosti.”
“Everyone says they are a copy of their older brother, but there are some who are calmer, one is a bit more restless, one is more patient, another less so,” Milana explains.
This young mother particularly emphasizes her gratitude to Dr. Veselin Pupčević for the support he has provided.
