Young pianist Nikola Đorojević holds first solo concert in his hometown

Young pianist Nikola Đorojević from Novi Grad, who has completed his second year of studies at the prestigious Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow with an average grade of five, held his first solo concert in his hometown this evening.

During the concert, he was accompanied by fellow townswoman Maša Maran on the flute, who is studying at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka and has known Nikola since childhood from lower and middle music school.

Đorojević mentioned that he had previously performed at music school concerts and various events in Novi Grad.

  • “This is the first time since I started my studies that I am performing in Novi Grad. It’s a special feeling to perform in front of an audience in my hometown; I feel a unique level of support,” Đorojević emphasized.

Nikola Đorojević began his education at the secondary music school in Prijedor and completed his fourth year in Belgrade.

He has been playing the piano since the age of six and performing since the age of nine, participating in numerous domestic and prestigious international competitions.

He has won numerous awards, with the most significant ones being from competitions in Republika Srpska and Serbia, as well as international competitions in Paris, Šabac, Smederevo, Bijeljina, and Sremska Mitrovica.

Maša Maran, as a flutist, performs with the Giuseppe Tartini Music Conservatory, playing the second flute in the symphony orchestra under the baton of Denis Čausov.

As a teacher in a lower music school, she has won awards with her students at the republic competition for solo flute this year.

In April, she competed as a soloist in Serbia at the 8th International Competition “Sirmium” and won first prize.

The concert was organized by the Cultural and Educational Center Novi Grad and the Youth Bank Novi Grad.
