In celebration of its sixth edition, the Bratunac Comic Festival is organizing a competition for children and youth themed “Bratunac in Comics.”
Organizers are inviting all fans of drawing, comics, and illustration to participate in this unique competition and promote Bratunac through art and culture.
- The competition is open to all participants up to 18 years of age. As previously mentioned, the theme is “Bratunac in Comics,” and your task is to illustrate a comic character of your choice, depicting some aspect of our town. It’s encouraged to create a completely new comic character with attributes and characteristics as you imagine and place the scene in a recognizable Bratunac location, such as a monument, the old bridge, the promenade, city panorama, the Drina River, etc. For examples, you can refer to some posters from the Bratunac Comic Festival – stated the organizers.
Entries should be submitted on A3-sized hard paper, using any technique – pencil, graphite, etc., and each participant can submit up to two entries. On the back of each entry, include your name, address, date of birth, and contact details.
Entries must not contain vulgarities, religious or national symbols, incitements to violence, hatred, or discrimination of any kind, nor explicit or disturbing content. Entries can be submitted in person at the festival, no later than Saturday, August 3, 2024, by 9 PM. Valuable prizes are provided for the best works, which will be judged by a professional jury composed of professional comic artists and special festival guests.
