Dugin: If Russia wins in Ukraine, Serbia and Srpska will cease to be targets of the West

Russian philosopher and geopolitical analyst Aleksandar Dugin stated that if Russia wins in Ukraine, Serbia and Republika Srpska will stop being targets of the collective West.

“If we win, the West will stop treating Serbia as it does now. Consequently, regarding Kosovo and Metohija and Serbia and Republika Srpska’s position, there will be very serious changes,” Dugin told Večernje Novosti.

He emphasized that the fate of humanity directly depends on whether Russia wins in Ukraine or “somehow else.”

“Therefore, if it is ‘somehow else,’ then no one will remain. But if we win in Ukraine, it will have a very significant impact on all European politics,” Dugin said.

He pointed out that the balance of power in Eastern Europe will be reexamined, as Russia will become a completely different state – a full-fledged superpower, whose decisions and positions will influence European and global politics.

This means that Russia will have the strength, capabilities, authority, and influence to help its “brotherly Serbian friends more and more effectively than now.”

According to Dugin, we are currently balancing on the brink of a major war, and it is unclear what is preventing it, as it could start at any moment, although Russia certainly will not initiate it.

He believes that the upcoming US elections are crucial for the world’s future and that the likelihood of a major war will increase to a critical point if the Democrats win the US presidential election.

Dugin argues that Donald Trump is not necessarily better but fundamentally different, being a realist and pragmatist. If the question of humanity’s destruction arises, he would weigh the cost of such an act.

“Since he is not a fanatic or a madman, he will clearly calculate that it is better to bargain and reach some kind of agreement,” Dugin said.

The Russian philosopher explained that he understands Serbia is trying to extricate itself, similar to Hungary and Turkey, which strive to avoid conflicts and not align with any camp.

“But if there is a general fratricidal war, I think it will affect everyone, including Europe. Perhaps this war, as a civil one, could even spread to America itself,” Dugin concluded.
