The traditional event “Princip Days in East New Sarajevo” began this evening with the opening of the sixth assembly of the “White Wolf” Art Colony and a solo photo exhibition by Dragan Đukić.
This year, 11 artists are participating, coming from neighboring countries, with a focus on local artists, said the art colony selector Miloš Popović.
“The artists are not limited in their choice of themes, but some will surely find inspiration in the landscapes of our region or notable personalities,” added Popović.
According to him, Dušan Nedov Prodana, who impresses every year, and Vladimir Milovanović, along with other local artists, are sure to leave a significant mark.
The art colony will be held at two locations, in the gallery space of the Cultural Center East New Sarajevo and at Tvrdimići, which the public can visit until June 28.
So far, about a hundred works have been created in previous assemblies.
Dragan Đukić said he was particularly pleased that his exhibition opens this event, noting that this is his third solo exhibition, with several group exhibitions as well.
- “I find inspiration in everything, from nature, portraits, to landscapes. This is my first time presenting to the audience in this region, and I am really glad,” added Đukić, who is registered as an artist in the Ministry of Culture of Republika Srpska.
