In Tišina near Šamac, the “Days of Cereal Fields” event has been opened. On the fields of agricultural producer Čedo Borojević, a demonstration featuring 40 varieties of wheat, four varieties of triticale, and 10 varieties of barley was showcased.
The “Days of Cereal Fields” is organized by the Department for Providing Professional Services in Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management.
“We have established over 52 different varieties of cereal crops, including wheat, barley, and corn, on a trial plot of up to two hectares. The crops are in fantastic condition,” said Stevo Bogdanović, the production organizer.
Savo Minić, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Republika Srpska, emphasized that the “Days of Cereal Fields” event is very beneficial for the entire Republika Srpska, considering the challenges posed by natural disasters, soil composition, and the impact of wild animals.
