Legal expert Ognjen Tadić stated today that Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) were established before the Dayton Peace Agreement, questioning how their existence can depend on a document that depends on their signatures.

“In Bosnia and Herzegovina, at least we know what came first, the chicken or the egg. Republika Srpska was established on January 9, 1992, BiH on March 1, 1992, and the FBiH on March 30, 1994. The Dayton Peace Agreement was concluded on November 21, 1995. How can the existence of Republika Srpska or FBiH depend on a document that depends on their signatures?” Tadić wrote on the social network X, reacting to the statement by Christian Schmidt that the entities have the right to exist because they are part of the Dayton Agreement.
